Climate YES Tanzania launched a tree nursery project at Kilwa Day Secondary School, putting environmental conservation and climate resilience directly into the hands of the next generation. The initiative gave students valuable, hands-on experience in nurturing seedlings while deepening their understanding of the real-world impacts of climate change.

The project ignited incredible community enthusiasm, mobilizing a diverse group of young adults from different Christian denominations and students of Kilwa Secondary School. Far more than just a planting day, the event focused on long-term capacity building, advocacy, and movement building, equipping both students and teachers with essential skills in nursery management.

By fostering this direct connection to nature, the initiative empowered young people to step up as true stewards of the environment.
